March 26 was the first elimination on ‘Dancing with The Stars’, and Victor Ortiz and Lisa Vanderpump were ready to dance for their place in the competition, when a star shockingly withdrew from the show. What a night!
There was no murder on the dance floor for Victor Ortiz and Lisa Vanderpump in this week’s episode of Dancing With the Stars! While teen star Zendaya won the coveted encore dance and further cemented her status as the the top contender, judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba were about to make the tough decision to choose between the boxer and the Real Housewife, when one star removed herself from the competition….
Dorothy Hamill quit the show!
Dorothy Hamill Becomes The First Person To Leave ‘Dancing With The Stars’
D.L. Hughley referred to DWTS as “The Hunger Games in tights” and he was not lying! A shocked Lisa and a devastated Victor were about to prepare for the dreaded dance off, when Dorothy and her partner Tristan MacManus emerged from the wings and told Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke Charvet that they were withdrawing from the competition!
Total game changer! Anyone who saw the March 25 episode of the show will know that Dorothy was suffering with a pinched nerve and was struggling to practice for the show, and she said on the advice of her spinal surgeon that she would not be able to continue.
What a shame!
Zendaya Dances The Encore Dance
Before all the elimination chaos, the audience were treated to a show. Zendaya may be only 16-years-old but she has proved that she can tough it out with the “big kids”! Viewers voted for the dance they most wanted to see again, the cute Shake It Out star was the winner! So far, it seems clear that Zendaya and Kellie Pickler are the top contenders for the mirror ball trophy.
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Are you sad to see Dorothy leave?
