After Desiree Hartstock was left in tears when one contestant decided to leave during the July 29 episode of ‘The Bachelorette,’ former contestants took to Twitter to voice their mixed feelings about her heartache.

Poor Desiree Hartsock was heartbroken after one of her sexy suitors, Brooks, decided that he did not want to be on the show anymore. Read on to see how former stars of The Bachlorette responded on Twitter.

Desiree was blindsided when Brooks brought her onto to the dock to tell her that he did not feel the same way as her. Poor Des couldn’t stop crying, and it was really heartbreaking. Thankfully, Des has a pretty strong support system in some of the previous Bachlorette contestants, who voiced their surprise at his departure and offered her some wise words on Twitter.

@tristasutter: “During my time on #bachelorette, I was told to choose someone i couldn’t live without. Brooks is a good guy, just not the right guy for Des.”

@BrydanVukasin: “I said when I left to follow your heart and you will make the right decisions. I think Brooks is doing exactly that. #Bachelorette”

@realjamescase: ”Wow, I did not see that one coming.”

@AshleySpivey: “Everyone is sure mad at Brooks y'all! Let's get the Bentley mob back together and go after Brooks! #bachelorette”

@BenScottTX: “Wow if she doesn’t end up with Brooks then that’s gonna be tough for the one she chooses to hear! #Bachelorette”

@NotthatAdamWest: “Brooks isn’t sure he’s ready to say I love you after six weeks, making him…a completely normal human being. #Bachelorette”

The episode ended with no elimination, with Desiree sitting at the end of the dock crying. Brooks may have cried even more than her, and he looked truly forlorn as he drove away in the limo. We can’t say for sure whether Desiree will have a happy ending in the August 5th season finale, but Trista Sutter was probably right when she tweeted that Brooks is not the right guy for Desiree — him leaving was probably for the best.

What do YOU think of the Twitter reactions, HollywoodLifers? Are you sad that Brooks left? Let us know!
