Friends at last! AnnaSophia Robb walked to set with new co-star Lindsey Gort, who makes her debut this season as Samantha Jones.
AnnaSophia Robb hit the streets of New York City on July 24 to film scenes for season two of The Carrie Diaries! Right by her side was Lindsey Gort, who was recently cast as Samantha Jones, who was portrayed by Kim Cattrall in Sex and the City. We’re super happy to see this first photo, but it only makes us wish Charlotte and Miranda were along for the ride as well!

Wearing a skin-tight electric blue mini-dress, which featured an elaborate black and white design down each side, AnnaSophia filmed scenes alongside Lindsey, Austin Butler (Sebastian Kydd), Brendan Dooling (Walt Reynolds) and Chloe Bridges (Donna LaDonna).

The Carrie Diaries describes the introduction of Samantha's character during season two as follows:
Through a surprising connection, our young Carrie Bradshaw will meet one of the most important people in her life this season in a role made iconic by Kim Cattrall: Samantha Jones, a ballsy, beautiful and sexy young woman from the panhandle of Florida who has made her way — and already a name for herself — in the rock 'n' roll scene of 1980s NYC.
Just like the book series, Samantha is a cousin to Carrie Diaries' mean girl Donna LaDonna.
The Carrie Diaries returns for its second season Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
