Lea is completely and utterly inconsolable over the death of her boyfriend Cory, and can’t even get out of bed. HollywoodLife.com spoke to two therapists who said that Lea might be grieving for up to six months.

Lea Michele is so grief-stricken over the death of her boyfriend and co-star, Cory Monteith, that she reportedly cannot get out of bed and she cannot stop crying. HollywoodLife.com spoke to Dr. Gilda Carle, the 30-second Therapist for TODAY, who said that Lea could be grieving for three days or up to six months, and that she needs a strong network of friends to help her get through her pain.

Lea Michele After Death Of Cory Monteith — How Can She Heal?

Lea, 26, has been left so devastated by Cory’s sudden death on July 13, that she has been listening to his voicemail and refuses to eat.

Dr Gilda says that Lea might be in this intense stage of grief for a long time:

We don’t how long she will suffer. She could wake up one moment and think, 'I feel okay right now.' It depends on the person and everybody around her should just give her love and support and allow her to process this. But she may not want to see a soul. With everybody, it's different. It could take six months or it could take three days. It depends on the people helping her, taking her out of the house. She's not going to forget — there were so many aspects that she will remember from the environment that she works in since that is where they fell in love. This is a normal grieving process, the pain will become less as time goes on.

Lea will not be able to being feeling normal until she gets over the shock.

She's still in shock, and when somebody's in shock, all you can do is be there to listen to them and listening is the best thing you can do. If they're patient and loving and understand it's going to be as long as it takes for to her get over it, she will get over it and will love again. People do find love again and do have a renewal of their life.

Should Lea Michele See A Therapist?

Dr Gilda also thinks that Lea could benefit from seeing a counselor.

There's nothing wrong with having a grieving counselor right now, someone who is trained may be a good thing for her, but she may not be able to talk to someone or might not want to right now.

Carole Lieberman, M.D., agrees, and says that Lea could benefit from talking to a professional.

Lea is inconsolable because she is not only mourning of loss of the love of her life, but she could also feeling guilty because she was not with Cory at the time of his death. Though Lea’s grieving may seem excessive to some, it is not unreasonable for her to be paralyzed by grief and bedridden, given the shocking nature of Cory’s death, her plans to marry him and her guilt for not being there for him.

Therapy would allow her to talk and cry about all of her memories of Cory, her dashed hopes, what she wishes she would have done differently and so on. A therapist would help her see that Cory’s death is not her fault.

What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Do you think Lea will be able to heal with time?
