What a jokester! The royal uncle took a break from all the serious royal baby press conferences to joke about charging new parents Will and Kate high rates to babysit the baby! Plus, he described his little nephew in perhaps the least helpful way possible. See what he said!
Doesn’t it seem like every family has that one jokester uncle? In baby Prince George‘s case, his good-humored uncle happens to be the one and only Prince Harry. At a July 25 opening for an exhibition that showcases his AIDS charity work, Harry cracked jokes about first meeting his new nephew — and how brother Prince William better get ready to pay his “expensive babysitting charges!”
Prince Harry Meets Nephew Prince George
While new parents Kate Middleton and Prince William got all emotional about the birth of their first son on July 22, the baby’s uncle Harry had far less touching of a first meeting. “When I saw him he was crying, which is just like all babies,” Prince Harry described in his exhibition appearance.
Harry clarified, “It’s fantastic to have another addition to the family. I only hope my brother knows how expensive my babysitting charges are!” reports The Daily Mail. What a jokester!
Looks like there’s no such thing as free babysitting, even between royal brothers.
Prince Harry Jokes About Baby Nephew
Prince Harry also offered up an incredibly accurate description of his brand new nephew, as reported by The Daily Mail. And by “incredibly accurate,” we mean that he held up his hands a reasonable baby-width apart and gestured that Prince George is “about this long and that wide.”
That’s the metric system, right?
Harry also made an offhand comment that he’s going to teach his nephew how to have fun. Considering his romps in Las Vegas, we severely hope he was still kidding around when he said this!
