To show off her new look, Queen Bey, 31, posted photos on Instagram on August 7, showing herself gazing in a mirror and feeling the back of her head where her long hair used to be.
While we absolutely love the new do, we’re completely shocked because Beyonce has been a diehard weave wearer for years. She likely thought long and hard about making this huge decision.
Since she blasted onto the music scene with Destiny’s Child, Beyonce has rarely sported anything other than big, bouffant looks.
Beyonce: Taking Safety Precautions After Fan Accident?
Interestingly, the new hairdo comes just two weeks after her blond tresses got tangled in the blades of a fan during a performance of “Halo” in Montreal on July 22. Perhaps she’s taking some bizarre safety precautions!
Other stars who have rocked the pixie cut in the past include Rihanna, Michelle Williams and Anne Hathaway.
