Stephenie Meyer On Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Split — ‘Twilight’ Author Reaches Out
Stephenie has always been close to Rob and Kristen’s relationship, so it’s no surprise that she’s concerned about their well-being.
“Stephenie Meyer has reached out to both Rob and K-Stew to make sure they’re good after the breakup,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She’s kind of like a big sister to them and they love her, so she’s been a perfect person to talk with.”
It’s great that Rob and Kristen can open up to Stephenie, who probably has a lot of insight about their relationship after working so closely with them on the Twilight franchise.
Stephenie Meyer Feels Responsible For Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart
Stephenie has said she blames herself for Rob and Kristen’s troubled past and for putting them in the public eye. In a revealing March 2013 interview, she said:
Here's the thing: there are some actors who are looking to be world famous, to be that household name, and although they might discover that there are a lot of negative things involved in that, it's what they want. But that doesn't apply to Kristen and Rob. That's what makes it kind of ironic and tragic. If they had the choice, I've no idea if they'd even do Twilight again. I just don't know. I think this has all come at a heavy price.
Stephenie has a point. The unbelievable popularity of Twilight may have brought unwanted fame on Rob and Kristen — not to mention overwhelming pressure on their relationship. The unending exposure could have contributed to the couple's demise.
Rob and Kristen have been through so much together, and despite their troubles, they still care for each other deeply. Rob recently reached out to Kristen recently now that they’re both back in Los Angeles. A friend of Kristen's tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY:
He stopped by on the weekend and they both spent some time together, catching up. Kristen was really happy to see him, but I think in the end they were both sad because they still have feelings for each other. It's not as simple as just getting back together. Seeing each other brought up a lot stuff for both of them. For now, work — not rebuilding a relationship — comes first. It's sad.
