Fans Defend Chris Brown On Twitter
Chris, 24, said via Twitter on August 6 that X would be his last album, because he was tired of trying to apologize for an “old mistake.”
Here are some of the many tweets:
“music wouldn’t be the same without Chris Brown, let’s be real, ” said @lmaoitsCOREY.
“Chris Brown is too talented to retire,” wrote @PatrickTexts.
@GloZell: “I don’t want @chrisbrown to retire. He is very talented.Maybe he’s retiring like JayZ retired.Retired but still does Albums and Tours”
@whoreshire “..what…do you mean…chris brown…is retiring….i’ve been listening…to his music…since i was in elementary school…”

“Man…. Chris Brown is a talented dude. Let that dude live. He is human. ‘He who is without sin cast the first stone’” said Jermaine, while Kevin wrote “Stay strong music wont be the same without you @ChrisBrown.”
Some Twitter users were not so nice, and made some mean jokes!
“Let me know when Chris Brown announces he’s through with seeking constant attention and validation,” said @MrWordsWorth.
“Chris Brown said he might retire from music. That sure is going to leave him with a lot of time on his fists,” said @DamienFahey.
Even talk show host Conan O Brien took a dig at Chris! “Chris Brown tweeted that he’s thinking of retiring from music so he can focus on being a better violent maniac with a hair-trigger temper.”
Yikes, Conan! That is mean, even for you!
Chris Brown Announces His Retirement From Music
Chris announced his retirement over Twitter, where he said that he was “over” being famous. He wrote:
Don’t worry mainstream America. After this X album, it’ll probably be my last album. … Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur music and talent. I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I’m cool & over it!
However, a source close to the “Love More” singer tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Chris was not serious:
It’s not true. Chris can’t be killed. He won’t be defeated. The media is strong, but he isn’t about to let them ruin him. He was built to last. It’s a rough patch for him and like all great [men], he’ll get through it.
Phew! Chris’ personal life aside, the man can sing and dance, so let’s be thankful!
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Are you sad that Chris is retiring from music, or do you care?
