Lamar’s personal struggles with his marriage and drugs are taking a toll on his future with the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers have both stepped away from signing the big man due to his personal demons, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned. How sad!

Once an asset to the NBA, Lamar Odom is now a liability and no one in the NBA wants to offer him a contract. This is a sad, drastic turn of events for Lamar, who once had a thriving basketball career. Will this be his wake up call to shape up? Read on to find out all the EXCLUSIVE details!

Lamar Odom NBA Career Over After Crack Use Reports? — Lakers, Clippers: No Deal

We were wondering why it was taking so long for Lamar, 33, to sign with an NBA team, and now it seems the delay may have stemmed from his alleged addiction to crack cocaine.

Sadly, Lamar’s reported struggle with drug abuse over the past two years has left many teams reluctant to bring him aboard, a source close to the NBA tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

“The Lakers & Clippers and any team for that matter in the NBA have stepped away from any deals to have Lamar on the team,” the source revealed. ”He is a major liability and they don’t want to take the money risk on an older player on drugs and marital issues. Especially Lamar, who has the whole Kardashian soap opera to deal with as well.”

According to a report from TMZ, Lamar’s drug addiction has triggered a complete meltdown in his marriage to Khloe Kardashian – and now it’s threatening to destroy his career. If this shocking report is true, we hope Lamar can work through his issues soon and get his professional and personal life back on track.

Lamar Odom Almost Signed With The Los Angeles Lakers

The one-time Sixth Man of the Year winner played for the Los Angeles Clippers last season, but he had his most productive years when he was on the Los Angeles Lakers from 2004 to 2011. At one point in August, the Lakers almost signed Lamar to a contract again before learning of his struggles.

"The Lakers desperately need a big man now that Dwight Howard left the team, and since Lamar had his best seasons with the Lakers and he fits well with Kobe, it's a natural fit," our source revealed, adding, "Lamar wants to stay home in LA and the Clippers were an option, but they are moving forward without him, so the best option is the Lakers. It's all paperwork and money at this point."

Sadly it looks like there is more to worry about now — Lamar may never play NBA basketball again!

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should the NBA avoid Lamar Odom or give him another chance? Sound off below!
