Looks like someone wasn’t as into Drake’s performance at the VMAs on Aug. 25 as we were! While the rapper was rocking the stage on MTV’s big night, cameras caught RiRi looking none too happy about having to watch her former flame perform.
A report recently alleged that Rihanna and Drake reconnected after her breakup with Chris Brown, but they couldn’t have looked FARTHER apart during Drizzy’s performance at the MTV Video Awards on Aug. 25!
Rihanna: Totally Unimpressed By Drake At The VMAs
While Drake was making the crowd go wild with his performance of “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and “Started From the Bottom,” there was one person watching who did NOT look impressed — Rihanna!
When cameras flashed to RiRi during the performance, she seemed completely upset — mad even — about having to watch the rapper perform, shooting daggers at Drake with her eyes; full-on stink eye mode.

So is there beef between these former lovers? Drake did kind of throw shade at Rihanna (but moreso Chris) in an interview with GQ when he said he couldn’t even fathom her relationship with Breezy: “If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly. Like, it gets really dark.”
However, last we heard Rihanna and Drake were on good terms, especially after he made sure there was no drama between him and Chris at the BET Awards on June 30 — by not showing up at all! “[Rihanna] hit [Drake] up on and told him 'you're a G for sitting out the BET Awards,’” a source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
Since then a report has claimed that the two stars were headed towards romance, but did they hit a roadblock? Because judging by Rihanna’s eyes during Drake’s performance, the LAST thing she wanted to be seeing was a rendition of “Started From the Bottom.”
To be fair though, Rihanna and Drake did end up going to the same VMAs after-party, where they reportedly left minutes apart, according to SplashNews. So maybe she just doesn’t like the songs he chose to perform!?
