Although the songstress dressed down for the MTV Video Music Awards it wasn’t long before she traded her jeans in for a sexy little black dress — but which look did you like better? VOTE.
Rihanna opted for a casual get-up when she turned up at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 25 in Brooklyn, NY, where the 25-year-old sauntered in in jeans and a tee — although she spiced up the look with her serious accessories and a fire-engine red pout!

Riri opted for a cuffed pair of dark denim jeans and a white, cutoff tee that featured female emcee MC Lyte along with the lyrics “Gotta Get A Ruff Neck.” Black, ankle-strap sandals and a sparkling choker added to the look, while the songstress donned a slew of bracelets and rings — it was all about the statement jewelry! A gold grill finished off the ensemble.
It wasn’t long before the star decided to get all dressed up! Riri swapped her jeans for a sexy black mini. The long-sleeved dress fit her figure like a glove and really showed off her fantastic frame. The plunging neckline also put her assets on full display. Although Riri traded in her jeans, the star opted for the same accessories, sporting a sparkling choker and the same sandals we saw on the star earlier that night.
What did you think of Rihanna’s look? Personally, I was a little underwhelmed. Riri is always one to watch on the red carpet and it would have been amazing to see her in a show-stopping look. That being said, I love the way she gave her jeans a dressed up vibe — it was fashion-forward and modern!
