Glee fans were shocked when Cory Monteith checked into a rehab facility on Mar. 31, but Cory’s friends and co – workers are opening up to show their support. The show’s creator Ryan Murphy tweeted his support, while Cory’s last tweet before entering a facility shows that he had a moment of clarity.
Cory Monteith’s Last Emotional Tweet Before Rehab
Cory, 30, voluntarily entered a rehab facility on March 31, and on March 28 he tweeted a metaphor about seeing things clearly.
“such a beautiful day! truly seeing the forest for the trees. #gratitude,” tweeted Cory on March 28.
How interesting! Perhaps this was the moment that Cory decided to check himself into rehab and to battle his demons once and for all.
Ryan Murphy Tweets His Support For ‘Glee’ Star
“I am so proud of Cory Monteith and love and support him 100%” tweeted Ryan on April 1. So sweet! Cory’s co – star and girlfriend Lea Michele also spoke out about her boyfriend’s news.
"I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this," Lea told People. "I am grateful and proud he made this decision."
"Cory Monteith has voluntarily admitted himself into a treatment facility for substance addiction," a rep for Cory said. "He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery."
