No topic was off limits in the second half of the ‘RHOBH’ reunion: What are Kyle & Kim’s real issues? Why did Paul & Adrienne really split? Plus, Mauricio explained his harsh words for Brandi earlier this season!
It’s always interesting to watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as they yell at each other, cry, or just get involved in some serious drama that normal people never have to deal with in their day-to-day lives. And thankfully, the ladies didn’t disappoint in the second half of the season three reunion April 1, as they gave us all of the above — and then some!
Discussions Over Adrienne & Paul’s Failed Marriage
Andy Cohen made sure to steer the conversation towards Adrienne Maloof‘s marriage, and even he was surprised that the bickering between Paul Nassif and Adrienne was the catalyst for the actual divorce. Kyle Richards said she was very surprised by it all, and that’s when Lisa Vanderpump dropped the bombshell that Paul had moved out several times over the past few years. Brandi Glanville put the icing on the cake, chiming in that the marriage never seemed to have any love to it at all. (Brandi, always the classy lady!)
This led to conversations on the awkward relationship Adrienne had with Rod Stewart’s son, Sean Stewart. One of the few times Kyle and Brandi agreed was when they said they made an odd couple. But apparently Adrienne and Sean aren’t dating anymore, so they must have felt the same!
Things took a rather serious turn when Andy brought up the abuse allegations that put on Paul. Kyle defended him, but Lisa was less confident as she dropped the ever-dreadful "You never know.” Of course, that might have just been Lisa throwing shade at her enemy-of-the-moment. Overall, everyone seems to be mostly on Paul’s side when it comes to the abuse allegations.
But abuse in the Housewives world is unfortunately something Taylor Armstrong is very familiar with, and she used the reunion to throw Adrienne under the bus for not helping her when she was having her own troubles with Russell. So there seems to be no love lost there.
Kim & Kyle’s Relationship Status Is Addressed
Kim Richards and Kyle have always had a unique relationship as sisters throughout the series, and this season was no different. Kim now believes Kyle didn’t support her as much as she should have, accusing Kyle of being very fair-weather in her support. In fact, Kim thinks Kyle only helps out in front of the cameras when they’re together.
Brandi and Yolanda Foster began to attack Kyle, recalling how Yolanda once carried Kim's sh*t-stained pillow through the airport. (How does that even happen?!) Brandi basically suggested Kyle wants her sister to fail, which started the waterworks — and also the recovery of Kyle and Kim’s relationship! Everyone apologized, and it looks like things will actually get better in the sister’s strained relationship. It’s amazing what tears can do!
The Housewives Husbands Join The Party
Mauricio and Ken were the only men — besides Andy, of course — to make it to the reunion, and they went against each other strongly on many issues. Mauricio stuck to his guns, insisting that Brandi should have just apologized to the Maloofs, but Brandi and Ken thought it was wrong for Mauricio to speak to a woman like that. Mauricio apologized for his actions.
But why was Mauricio so passionate? Lisa believes it’s solely because he’s working with the Maloofs, which he denied, claiming he’s able to separate business from friendship. Mauricio thinks Lisa hates him because of her issues with Kyle, which seem to be obvious, and will definitely continue into next season.
The RHOBH reunion ended with the ladies reflecting on the past season, with the apparent hope that they can all become closer friends — which, as we all know, will never happen!
