Four acts made their way to the semi-finals while eight others said goodbye to ‘America’s Got Talent’ for good on the Aug. 7 elimination episode. Did your favorite(s) make it through?

Even though we’ve already been through three rounds of this elimination process, America’s Got Talent continues to shock us every week. Eight acts were once again sent home and four acts moved on to the semi-finals in the Aug. 7 results show. To cushion the blow, we were treated to an amazing performance of Jason Derulo‘s “The Other Side.”

Say Sayonara To Eight More Acts

The first elimination round consisted of snake wrangler David “The Cobra Kid” Weathers, the Aerosphere Aerial Balloon Show and illusionists Leon Etienne & Romy Lowe. It was no surprise that all three acts were sent packing.

Next up was the American Military Spouses Choir, brother-sister duo Brandon & Savannah, and the dog act Kelsey & Bailey. While Kelsey’s dog dancing wasn’t exactly the best act, both singing groups in this round definitely deserved a spot in the semi-finals. Unfortunately, only one could go on… and America chose American Military Spouses Choir!

No Pain, No Gain On ‘America’s Got Talent’

The following group was by far the most intense round of the results show: fan favorite Jonathan Allen, impressionist Jim Meskimen, and dance extraordinaire Kenichi Ebina. This is a tough one. All three were great in their first live performance.

Kenichi quickly moved on to the semi-finals, which wasn’t a surprise after Howie Mandel told him he should win the top prize after his incredible performance Aug. 6. So, does this mean Jonathan and Jim went home? Not so fast. Nick Cannon told the the two men to wait because one more was going through to the round. Whew!

Between Jonathan and Jim, well, we already knew the answer. America went with Jonathan.

The last group featured the Mitsi Dancing School, Deanna DellaCioppa and the Chicago Boyz. Despite her wonderful performance of “I Want To Know What Love Is,” Deanna was cut.

It was down to Mitsi Dancing School and the Chicago Boyz — and it was up to the judges to decide. While they praised the Mitsi girls for their precision and skill, the judges all went with the Chicago Boyz. (Good choice, judges. Good choice.)

Oh, and the guy from Chicago Boyz who looked like he hurt himself in his first performance at Radio City Music Hall was rushed to the hospital soon after his fall. It turns out he broke his tibia in three different places and will be cheering on his team from the sidelines. We wish him a speedy recovery!
