Lea Michele is still in a “dark” place following the death of her boyfriend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith, but she feels like he is still with her “all the time.” Lea, 26, is putting on a brave face at work during the day, but at night she struggles to deal with the quietness, a source close to the actress exclusively told HollywoodLife.com.
Lea Michele Dreams Of Cory Monteith After His Death
Lea was inconsolable when Cory, 31, suddenly died on July 13, and HollywoodLife.com previously reported that she was having trouble sleeping, even though she was spending so much time in bed. Now, she is dreaming about the late love of her life.
A source close to the star says:
Lea is moving forward. It’s still an extremely dark time for her but she’s incredibly strong and is clinging to the light. Her faith in God is helping her immensely. She has been dreaming of Cory a lot, and she says she feels him with her all the time. Lea has been praying for guidance and help to get through this, and she’s making major progress but it’s still a struggle — especially the nights.
Poor Lea. She is so brave and so strong, and it is not surprising that she feels Cory is always with her. Lea wears his necklace every day, and they had such a strong love.
Lea Michele: Working Is Helping Her Cope
Thankfully, Lea is finding the days easier, because she is so busy playing Rachel Berry. The source added:
The daytime is much easier for her because she can keep busy and not focus on her pain, but when night comes and things are quiet that’s the hardest time. That’s when she really counts on her prayers and her faith in God to help her. And her friends and family have been there a 110 percent for her. Lea hasn’t spent a night alone yet; she’s still not ready for that and who knows when she will be.
Lea is right to surround herself with friends and family following Cory’s death, and so far, she is doing so well with the grieving process. She is truly an inspiration.
