It’s every girl’s dream to be granted an extravagant and romantic proposal, whether it’s on the big screen at a basketball game, at a concert, or at a baseball game — oh wait, not everyone wants that. At the New Britain Rock Cats minor league game in Connecticut last week, a proposal went completely wrong when a woman, Jessica, said no to her boyfriend, David, when he asked for her hand in marriage! Wow — this is such a shock and so surprising.

We still have chills after watching this proposal video, where David asks Jessica to marry him and her answer is: “David…I can’t. I’m sorry I can’t.”
Wow. We felt just as embarrassed as David did and we only watched the video! That’s not all — after Jessica says no, she runs away and David is left flabbergasted, standing there before they both run off in different directions!
At first, we were very confused and a bit speculative about whether the proposal was real or not, but then we thought, why would anyone make this up? David looked completely heartbroken and humiliated and we empathize with him! We can’t help but wonder though — why didn’t Jessica say yes?
We weren’t the only ones at a loss for words — the man speaking on the microphone, who introduced the couple, had nothing to say and instead, let out a loud laugh because he was so shocked. He later had to apologize for laughing!
