San Diego House Fire: Mother & Child Found Dead, 2 Children Missing
Authorities were called to the rural Boulevard, California house to extinguish a fire on the night of August 4, reports KABC. At the scene, 60 miles from San Diego, authorities found the body of Christina Anderson along with the body of an unidentified child.
Christina’s children, Hannah and Ethan Anderson, are still considered missing following this terrible event. An Amber Alert has been issued for these children, as of August 6, as authorities have reason to believe that the man suspected of killing the mother may have abducted her children.
Authorities were not immediately able to comment on whether the child’s body found in the house belonged to either one of Christina’s children, or exactly how the mother and child died. The deaths were ruled homicides by the San Diego Sheriff’s Department investigators.
The body of a dog was also found in the burned home.
Amber Alert Issued For James DiMaggio & Anderson Children
Authorities are on the lookout for suspect James DiMaggio. Police report that he had a “close platonic relationship” with Christina Anderson, says KABC from the sheriff’s report. He is believed to be driving a blue 2013 Nissan Versa with the California license plate 6WCU986.
Information about this case or the suspect’s whereabouts should be immediately reported to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department at (858) 565-5200.
