In shocking news, As I Lay Dying’s lead singer Tim Lambesis has been arrested in Oceanside, Calif. for allegedly attempting to set up the murder of his estranged wife! Scary!
The Grammy-nominated rock group, As I Lay Dying, was hit with an awful accusation — their lead singer Tim Lambesis was allegedly involved in a murder for hire plot.
Tim Lambesis Arrested
Tim should be enjoying the fruits of his labors on being the lead singer of a highly successful band, but instead he is dealing with an arrest. On May 7, Tim was arrested and charged with three federal counts, including solicitation of another to commit murder and two counts of conspiracy to commit crime, according to the San Diego County sheriff’s department.
Speaking on the subject, Jan Caldwell, a spokesman for the San Diego sherrif’s department told ABCNews.com, “Information came to us last Thursday, we decided to initiate an investigation immediately. We worked it around the clock until the arrest was made at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.”
Tim Lambesis Allegedly Tries To Have His Wife Killed
On May 7, the singer allegedly solicited an undercover detective to kill his wife, Meggan Lambesis. This was after police received a tip on May 2 of the alleged plan. The couple is dealing with divorce after Tim was issued papers back in September of 2012.
Tim is currently being locked up at the Vista Detention Facility and will be arraigned on May 9 at 1:30 p.m. Stay close to HollywoodLife.com for all updates on this horrible situation.
