Rihanna, you gave Chris Brown the ultimate forgiveness, and you gave him your whole heart again. If he can’t be a one-woman man, you need to move on.
Rihanna – you’re beautiful, talented, smart, compassionate, and forgiving. Chris Brown couldn’t ask for a better woman to love. And in fact, I believe he does love you. But that doesn’t mean that he’s willing or able to stay true to you.
Chris Brown Still Torn Between Two Women
But sadly, at 24, he just doesn’t seem to be ready to make the full commitment to the serious monogamous relationship that you want and need.
You’ve gone through so much in the past three years since Chris assaulted you. First, you needed to recover physically from the assault, and then it took you years to recover emotionally and to come to a state of mind, where you could forgive Chris.
You reestablished a friendship with Chris, you cared about him, and together the two of you found love again.
You publicly broke the news that you loved Chris, to Oprah on her TV special, and shortly thereafter, the two of you began to see each other publicly again and began recording together.
You were willing to overlook the fact that Chris had had a girlfriend of two years, Karrueche Tran. You believed that it was only a matter of time until he completely ended that relationship and committed to you, which he did during a trip to NYC in January.
Since then, you’ve appeared to be a deeply in love couple, and sources close to both of you have told us that Chris has “mad love” for you and that you’re his number one forever.
Chris Hanging With Karrueche Is Disrespectful
But, it seems that despite his love and respect for you, Chris just can’t stay away from Karrueche.
He partied with her in NYC on April 17 and then she turned up at his birthday party in LA at the Emerson Theatre on May 3.
That was the final straw for you, Rihanna. You are fed up with being drawn into a love triangle.
“Settling is not an option! Nothing less than 100% loyalty, honesty, and respect!! Love ain't for kidz,” you tweeted on May 7.
And you’re right, you deserve to be loved by a man who can give you 100 percent loyalty, honesty, and respect. Every woman deserves that.
But in your case Rihanna, where you went through such a traumatic situation with Chris, it’s easy to understand that you feel — he should want to give you that commitment.
You’ve been there for him as a friend as well as a lover, even supportively attending court with him in LA on Feb. 6, during a hearing on whether he had met the terms of his probation.
Chris Brown Doesn’t Want A Monogamous Relationship
In the meantime, Chris has now given an interview saying he’s not focused “on wife-ing somebody that young, and I’m young, too.”
He told Australian radio station 2DayFM that at 24, he wants to “see as many girls as possible.”
Listen Rihanna, that’s fair. At least Chris is being honest. He loves you, but he’s not ready to settle down and have a long-term monogamous relationship with you.
It must be so disappointing and heartbreaking for you after all you’ve been through, but that’s the hard truth.
That doesn’t mean that Chris isn’t having second thoughts already about what he has said and done. He tweeted on May 8 that “when it rains, it pours” – and he sounds sad!
But that’s after he tweeted on May 6: “Sometimes loving someone is too much! So loving from a distance will help everyone grow!”
Rihanna, Don’t Take Chris Back Now
It wouldn’t be surprising Rihanna, if Chris is already having a change of heart about his earlier comments. He’s probably already missing your love and support and is thinking about how to win you back.
But you need to stand firm. You can’t go through this repeated emotional roller coaster. You need to let Chris go for now.
Maybe in a year or two or three, he will be ready to give you the loyal love and commitment that you need and deserve.
Or more likely, you’ll find another true love. You thought Chris was the love of your life, but maybe he’s not, and there’s a bigger, better love for you.
You’ll never know if you don’t allow yourself to move on. Chris can still be a friend, but it’s best to keep him at a distance until your feelings for him are no longer so strong.
