Since the three women escaped captivity on May 6, after ten years, they've been reuniting with family. Gina DeJesus arrived at her family’s home on May 8, wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt. Men wearing T-shirts, with “guardian angel” printed on them, stood behind police tape in front of the home as a huge crowd cheered for Gina upon her arrival.

Gina’s aunt, Sandra Ruiz, spoke to the crowd and said, “There are not enough words to say or express for the joy we feel for the return of our family member Gina. We are asking for your support to be patient with us. Give us time and privacy to heal. When we’re ready, I promise you…we will talk to you. Our family will forgive, but we won’t forget. [Ariel Castro] will have to respond to the high and mighty.”

Upon Gina’s return, “I grabbed her and hugged her,” her mother, Nancy Ruiz said. “I didn’t want to let go.”

“I knew my daughter was out there alive,” Gina’s dad Felix DeJesus added.

Amanda Berry Also Returns Home

Beth Serrano, Amanda Berry’s sister, also stood before a huge crowd of reporters and photographers on May 8 and asked that they give the family privacy to recover. Amanda was too emotional to speak herself.

"I just want to say we are so happy to have Amanda and her daughter home," Beth said. "I want to thank the public and the media for their support and encouragement over the years. At this time, our family would request privacy so my sister, niece and I have time to recover. We appreciate all you have done from us throughout the past ten years. Please respect our privacy until we are ready to make our statement, thank you."

Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were being held captive the basement of a Cleveland, Ohio home for ten years. They were rescued on May 6 after a neighbor heard Amanda's cries for help.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Will these women ever heal?
