Chris is letting the wise words of Alanis soothe his soul as he listens to her music to help pull himself out of his depression. Isn’t it ironic? Keep reading for all the EXCLUSIVE details!

Did you ever think you’d hear the names Chris Brown and Alanis Morissette in the same sentence? In an effort to shake himself out of his depressed state, the “Fine China” singer is changing his tune and listening to some classic Alanis songs to help raise his spirits, HollywoodLife.com is EXCLUSIVELY reporting.

Chris Brown: Alanis Morissette Songs Help Depression — Ain’t Easy Being Breezy

After a couple weeks of unfortunate events — including a bad health scare that forced the singer to cancel his shows in Canada, and an upsetting court hearing – Chris is trying to clear his head with the help of Alanis’ music.

“He tried something different: He started meditating for a minute and listened to Alanis Morissette,” a source close to the X artist says. “You know that song she got, ‘That I Would Be Good,’ he had that song on all fu**ing day and was listening to it in his headphones. [It was if] she were speaking directly to him.”

Hey, whatever works! We’re just glad that Chris has found something to ease his troubled mind.

Chris Brown Is A Connoisseur Of All Music Types

We’re told that while Chris, 24, digs all types of music, it was his on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran who turned him on to Alanis and this song in particular.

“He listens to everything — music is music,” the source adds. “Everything got a message in it. Karrueche put him up on that song and told him to peep it out and he did. That’s all he’s been listening to. He’ll try anything to get out of this fu**ed up depressed mode.”

“He has to do a bunch of hours that he already did, he ain’t really feeling all too good, and on top of all that he had to cancel his shows in Canada — he’s stressed out,” the source adds.

Poor Chris! Hopefully things will go better for him from now on. As Alanis sang, you live, you learn.

Chris Brown Is  Determined To Complete His Community Service Hours

We told you Breezy’s probation was reinstated on August 16 and he was ordered to complete 1,000 additional hours of community labor after the Los Angeles County District Attorney accused him of falsifying his community service reports.

This is a major setback, but Chris is grateful he's not facing jail time, and he is determined to complete his community service hours and move on with his life.

"He wants all this sh** behind him and quick," the source says. "It's too much stress for him. He's too young to be having all this in his life."

Hopefully Alanis’ music will continue to help Chris unwind.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Is Alanis’ music just what Chris needs to feel better? What do YOU think he should be listening to? Let us know!
