Demi’s ‘struggling artist’ character will reportedly go note-for-note with Adam Lambert.
Another huge name is coming to Glee in season five! Demi Lovato has been tapped to play a New York-based singer named Dani who will befriend Rachel (Lea Michele) and Santana (Naya Rivera), according to HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site TVLine. But those girls aren’t going to be the only ones interacting with the X Factor judge.
Dani is also scheduled to share the screen with fellow newcomer Adam Lambert, as the two will have “several musical numbers together.”
“@ddlovato I just heard the news!” Adam tweeted Aug. 19, shortly after the news of Demi’s arrival broke. “Excited to sing w you girl!”
Demi will be introduced Oct. 3 during the second Beatles episode, just one week before the Cory Monteith/Finn tribute.
Adam Lambert’s ‘Glee’ Role Revealed
While Demi will be presumably making sweet music with Adam, one current Gleek won’t be playing nice with the American Idol runner-up. During a recent visit to Live with Kelly & Michael, Chris Colfer revealed that Adam will be playing Kurt’s nemesis!
“Adam Lambert is joining the show, and he's going to play my nemesis,” Chris revealed during his Aug. 7 appearance. “I always wanted to see Kurt be mean.”
That makes two of us!
