It seems like such a daunting task for ‘Glee’ to pay tribute to Cory Monteith, who left this world way too soon, in a way that makes everyone happy. However, a source close to productions tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively how they plan on remembering the 31-year-old actor.
Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy recently revealed that the third episode in season five will be a tribute to Cory Monteith, following his sad and sudden death on July 13. Ryan said they’re currently writing the episode, where Finn will die, and they’re being cautious because it “has to be done very carefully and with a lot of taste and really making sure that it's a tribute to Cory.” While Ryan failed to elaborate on much more than that, a source close to production gave HollywoodLife.com an exclusive first glimpse at the tribute episode.
‘Glee’ Cory Monteith Tribute — Cast Interviews & Favorite Cory Moments
“The tribute show is being discussed and the details currently have it being the characters paying tribute to move the show along or a separate tribute talking about his best scenes and songs with sit-down interviews with the cast, talking about their favorite Cory memories,” a source close to production tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
That’s so sweet! We know what our favorite Cory/Finn moments are, but we’d love to know how the cast feels.
Finn’s Death Will Affect The Characters Immediately
Furthermore, there won’t be an gimmicks, such as time jumps. Our source says that Finn’s death is going to be and feel very real.
“Currently a time jump isn’t planned. They want [Finn's] death to be in the present, so it affects the characters immediately,” our source adds.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think it’s a good idea for the show to kill Finn?
