Kate Middleton, 31, finally gave birth to her baby boy on July 22, and people all around the world are celebrating the birth of a new heir to the throne. The biggest celebration, though, is taking place in the heart of all the action — London! Fans have gathered outside Buckingham Palace to celebrate the birth of the little prince, and it looks like Londoners are even more excited about this than the Royal Wedding!
Excited Locals Celebrate Royal Baby Birth
Excitement for the royal baby has been happening since the December 2012 announcement that Kate was pregnant. Now that the baby has arrived, the excitement is on a completely new level, and people are partying in the streets!
Locals donned various Britain and royal-inspired attire to commemorate the special occasion. Hundreds of people gathered outside the palace to view the easel announcing the birth, and there was dancing and excitement as the locals celebrated the arrival of the third in line to the throne.
Americans are plenty excited to welcome the royal baby, but we can only imagine what it is like to be a part of the celebration in London!
Kate Middleton & Prince William To Reveal Royal Baby On Hospital Steps
The royal baby is by far the most highly celebrated tot of the decade, which means he was also the most highly anticipated baby before Kate gave birth on July 22.
So highly anticipated, in fact, that dedicated fans and press were camped outside of the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital for nearly three weeks just to catch a glimpse of the new family and witness the excitement once Kate actually went into labor.
Although the baby has already been born, most of the fans and press are still likely lined up because, as soon as Kate is given the okay to leave the hospital, she and William will be posing for pictures with their yet to be named Prince on the steps of the hospital tomorrow, July 23. How cute!
