Kate gave birth to the heir to the royal throne hours after going into labor and arriving at St. Mary’s Hospital in London. The Clarence House’s official Twitter account announced the good news early in the morning on July 22, tweeting the official statement:
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labour. The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.
The birth was later confirmed by the Clarence House official Twitter account.
