It looks like even Justin was shocked to hear Selena say she was single during her July 21 interview on E!, because a day later he took to Twitter to get out his emotions.
July 22 might be Selena Gomez’s birthday, but Justin Bieber wasn’t using his Twitter on the big day to send her well wishes. Instead he seemed to be reacting to the huge bombshell she dropped the night before on E!, telling Ryan Seacrest that she was single.

“Someone can only get u down if u let them. Life is fun. Smile,” Justin tweeted on July 22, Selena’s 21st birthday.
The message is obviously cryptic — he doesn’t just come out and say it — but taking it in context and considering that Selena didn’t show much love for him during her July 21 interview with Ryan Seacrest, you can understand why Justin might be feeling a little down.
In the interview, the “Come & Get It” singer confirmed that she was single and said, “whatever happens, happens.” She also admitted that it’s “hard to date in the industry.”
Considering Justin seemed so thrilled when he and Selena reunited for the most recent time on the Fourth of July, hearing her be so dismissive about their relationship has to sting. We assume he’s up to date on their status, but it can’t feel great to see the love of his life broadcast that to the world. At least he chose to tweet cryptically and optimistically rather than post a blatant diss on Selena’s b-day.
Speaking of which, so far Justin has not wished Selena a happy birthday on his Twitter.

HollywoodLife.com reported exclusively that the Biebs and Selena reunited after a romantic Fourth of July together, but it appears that they still haven’t committed to each other fully again just yet.
Maybe Justin was right when he wrote that caption along with a romantic photo of himself and Selena — maybe she really is a heartbreaker!
