The Duchess of Cambridge arrived at St. Mary’s hospital in the early morning of July 22 to welcome the next heir to the throne — and she and the baby are doing well!
Kate Middleton, 31, and her husband Prince William, 31, made the early morning journey to St. Mary’s Hospital in London on July 22 when the pregnant Duchess was experiencing the early stages of labor. They got to the hospital just before 6 a.m. London time, and Kate is bravely going through with her natural delivery!
Kate Middleton’s Healthy Labor — Pregnant Duchess Doing ‘Well’
Kate went into labor naturally and wasn’t induced, even though it was believed she was a few days overdue from her due date. The Duchess is “progressing well” in her natural labor, a source tells the Daily Mail.
The mom-to-be had reportedly planned on a hypnobirth to relieve the pain of a natural birth, and sources tell CNN that doctors and medical staffers are preparing to help her throughout the natural birth process.
About 90 minutes after she was admitted to the hospital, the Kensington Palace released an update on her labor, and also said she is experiencing a “normal labor,” according to CNN — so the baby could be born any minute!

Kate Middleton arrived at the hospital early in the morning on July 22 when she was experiencing the early stages of labor. As soon as she was safely checked into the hospital, Clarence House officially tweeted:
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labour. The Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.
