Since we have a major girl-crush on Jennifer Lawrence anyway, it’s probably time we start copying her look! We’ll show you exactly how to get her braided up-do from Comic-Con below. Keep reading for all the details.

Jennifer Lawrence, 22, looked absolutely stunning at Comic-Con in San Diego, Calif. on July 21! While most people we’re focused on her midriff-baring shirt and skirt ensemble, we we’re more preoccupied with her amazing up-do. The Hunger Games star’s hairstyle featured intricate braids — yet still somehow looked totally laid-back and manageable. We’ll tell you the perfect product to use to get Jennifer’s look!

Jennifer Lawrence’s Hair At Comic-Con — Braided Beauty

Jennifer’s hairstylist, Mark Townsend, Instagrammed a picture of Jennifer’s up-do and captioned the photo: “Love that Jennifer lets me play with her hair. Braid it up!” We think that this is actually some pretty great advice for creating braided hairstyles — remember to have fun with it! So many people get intimidated by braids, but if you relax and just start experimenting with your hair, you’ll be certain to stumble upon a style you love.

But before you begin braiding, you’ll need to make sure your hair is in tip-top shape! Braiding can stress on your hair, causing some breakage — especially if your hair is already damaged. We love using Dove Nourishing Oil Care Leave-In Smoothing Cream as a leave-in conditioner. It hydrates our hair beautifully, making it stronger, smoother, and shinier — which makes our braids look amazing!

How To Get Jennifer’s Look

Jennifer’s style looks like a lot of work, but it’s actually pretty simple. After you’ve used your leave-in conditioner, simply section off four or five half-inch areas of your hair and start braiding straight back along your head. Braid the hair its entire length, then secure all the braided strands with clear elastics.

After all the sections are braided, simply twist the ends of your hair into a classic bun. The braids will give texture to the bun that it wouldn’t otherwise have, making it look more complex and intricate than it really is.

So tell us what you think of Jennifer’s braided up-do, HollywoodLifers! Sound off and vote below.
