The royal baby arrived in the late afternoon in London on July 22, so we have to wait a whole day until we get the first glimpse of the HRH Prince of Cambridge! Luckily, one of Kate’s doctors spilled the beans — find out what the little boy looks like!

After months of intense anticipation — and weeks of #TheGreatKateWait — the royal baby is finally here, and it’s a boy! While we wait for Kate Middleton and Prince William to debut their baby boy outside the steps of St. Mary’s hospital, one of the Duchess’ doctors revealed what the HRH Prince of Cambridge looks like!

Kate Middleton’s Baby Boy — Duchess’ Doctor Describes Little Prince

The royal baby boy was welcomed by a team of some of London’s best doctors, including the queen’s former gynecologist Marcus Setchell, surgeon-gynaecologist, Guy Thorpe-Beeston, obstetrician and Dr. Sunit Godambe, consultant.

Of the dynamic team, Dr. Marcus Setchell revealed his joy and excitement at welcoming His Royal Highness into the world!

The prince is a “beautiful baby,” Dr. Setchell said. We bet — and we can’t wait until we can see the little guy for ourselves as soon as they all leave the hospital!

The new dad also shared his delight after the birth, and revealed that he and Catherine ”could not be happier.” Neither could we!

Prince William & Kate Middleton's Baby Is Born — Official Press Release From Kensington Palace

Kensington Palace officially released a press release to announce the royal baby's birth on July 22:

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 4.24pm.

The baby weighs 8lbs 6oz.

The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.

The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.

Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well and will remain in hospital overnight.

The medical staff present were Mr. Marcus Setchell, Surgeon-Gynaecologist, Mr.Guy Thorpe-Beeston, Obstetrician and Dr. Sunit Godambe, Consultant Neonatologist at St Mary's Hospital.

The names of the baby will be announced in due course.

The baby is third in the line of Succession after His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge. He is styled His Royal Highness Prince [name] of Cambridge.
